Understanding the World

• This area of learning consists of 3 early learning goals, which align with some wider curriculum subjects:
  • Past and Present (History), taught in a carpet time fortnightly.
  • People, Cultures and Communities (Geography), taught in a carpet time fortnightly.
  • The Natural World (Science and Geography), taught in a carpet time weekly.
• The discrete carpet time sessions are complimented with activities selected during get learning for the children to explore and extend their knowledge of the subjects.
