EWE Club

The Governors welcome your child to The Ewe Club, our before and after school provision here, at St. John’s Church of England Academy.

We hope you will find our club to be warm and welcoming, a place where children can rest and play in a secure and caring environment.

The Ofsted inspectors on 18th & 19th January 2013, judged the provision to be “outstanding” “All pupils thoroughly enjoy the excellent start provided by staff in the Ewe Club. The outstanding level of care and enjoyable activities make the after-school sessions equally popular”.

St John’s Ewe Club is committed to providing high quality childcare and stimulating creative activities. The Club will provide a range of activities and choices which will ensure that children are happy during their time at the Club. Activities will include games & sports, arts & crafts, design technology, reading, role play & dressing up.

Your child will be cared for by qualified staff. The Ewe Club Manager is Mrs Maries. There are places for 32 children in all sessions. The Club is open from 07:45am – 08:55am and again from 3:30pm-5:45pm. The children receive a varied choice of nutritious snacks and drinks.

The Club aims to promote equal opportunities for all children regardless of gender, ethnicity, attainment, background or disability.

All information in relation to the children is dealt with in a confidential and sensitive manner. All information is retained in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

We value our relationship with parents and aim to work together for the benefit of the children. We welcome your views and comments and will be happy to meet with you if you have any concerns or suggestions regarding The Ewe Club or your child. Our policies are available for you to look at in The Ewe Club.

The Ewe Club

The 'Ewe Club' provides before and after school care and is on our school site. We have successfully developed our disused caretaker’s bungalow to provide 32 places for children whose parents wish to use the facility.

This is a superb club and is entered via secure gates accessed through the pedestrian entrance and along the pavement bordering the car park at the front of school.

The club opens at 7:45 a.m. and children enjoy cereals and toast.

The evening session begins at the end of school and finishes at 5.45 p.m.

Children enjoy a healthy snack.

The club offers a range of activities that compliment their education in school.
